NOTE: Currently, the scholarship that is available is for Class Room Only at a $50.00 discount.  Recipients of this scholarship would pay $100.00 for 30 hours of classroom instruction.  Please follow the application procedures below.  We hope to have funding for the Safe Teen Scholarship in the near future.

Drivers Ed Scholarship

At the Safe America Foundation, we do not believe that a family’s income should determine their teen’s access to effective, high-quality driving instruction. This is why we created the SafeTeen Scholarship Fund - Georgia's only scholarship program for families seeking safe driver education for their loved one.

• $400 Value, funded by members of the community.
• Depending on the program selected, family of the recipient is required to contribute $100/$200.

• Signed copy of:

1. 1040 Federal Income Tax Return with child listed as dependent
2. Federal 1099 Form with the household/family income

• Letter indicating:

1. Name of parent or guardian
2. Home mailing address
3. Daytime telephone number
4. Employer/Occupation
5. Teen’s full name, home address, county of residence, birth date, high school name and current grade level

• Copy of teen’s most recent school grade report or transcript copy for their current year. Must provide: teen’s name, school name and be dated for the current school year.
• Sealed letter of recommendation from at least one of the teen's school's faculty members.
• Paragraph discussing extracurricular involvement, community service or work experience.
• Optional comments – the parent or guardian may include up to 250 words about the character of teen, including community service or special circumstances.
